This record is Sten Sandells third release on the Bauta label, recorded 1994. This is a pure solo-CD, where Sten plays piano, harmonium, percussion and sings. On “Frames” he developes further his very own contemporary music. The rhytm and the pulse is the frame for a unique interpretation of old and new tradition. It goes into the realm of ethnic and modal music, but at the same time picks up fragments of Franz Liszt and Thelonius Monk.
